Lou Gatti Memorial Scholarship Awarded

Rhianne Pearce was the recipient of the prestigious Lou Gatti Memorial Scholarship last month.  Rhianne is a Bundaberg local and when she was presented with the scholarship, she had this to say:

"The funding enabled me to pay for my textbooks, equipment required for residential school and set myself up for the beginning of my university studies.
I struggle to find the words to convey just how thankful I am. Perhaps just giving you the knowledge of how much this scholarship was a blessing for me, will be enough to convey my thanks."

We wish to congratulate Rhianne for receiving this scholarship and wish her the best of luck with her continued studies.

The Lou Gatti Memorial Scholarship was established in honour of Lou Gatti’s life and achievements. It recognises Lou’s contribution to the Bundaberg community, in particular, his efforts to establish services and programs to improve the lives of the most vulnerable. Lou was a valued staff member of IMPACT for many years and we are proud to be partnered with CQU for this scholarship.

Business Development Manager joins the team!

Terri has recently joined the IMPACT team as their Business Development Manager. After spending the last two years in the Northern Territory, most recently working with another not-for-profit business, she was an integral part in not only managing the existing client base, but ensuring the business growth in line with the strategic plan. Prior to this she has had over 15 years experience working within the Wide Bay and Central Queensland regions in a variety of roles in both sales and procurement.

With the introduction of NDIS and IMPACT’s purpose built commercial laundry opening in early 2018, Terri looks forward to being part of IMPACTS future growth and development.

Adopt-A-Family this Christmas

IMPACT will once again be participating in the NewsMail's Adopt-A-Family campaign to help families through Christmas. Please keep an eye out in the NewsMail for their upcoming adverts which will list families.
All you need to do is give us a call, tell us which one you'd like to adopt and then drop off a hamper before the required date.
We love to help people and Christmas is a great time for giving.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was a fun day here at IMPACT with people getting into the spirit of it! Not only did the clients and students get involved, but a few staff members did too.

Some of our clients and Disability Service staff walked the halls 'Trick or Treating' and all got their sugar fix and definitely went home happy!  The bar has been set and the challenge is on for best decorated office for next year!
