September Update

IMPACT received a surprise visit last month from Child Safety Minister, the Hon. Shannon Fentiman MP who announced that we were successful in winning the Intensive Family Support (IFS) contract for Bundaberg. IFS will provide the local community with intensive and specialist support to help keep children safely at home and out of the child protection system.

This means that IMPACT will receive close to $3.7 million over the next five years to set up and deliver the program to the region.

Choir performs for Queensland Premier

A few members of the IMPACT Community Choir had the honour of performing for Queensland Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk last month at the Chamber of Commerce Lunch held at The Rock Bar & Grill.  The choir, led by IMPACT staff members, Anton and Gwyn were excited to not only perform for such a high profile politician, but were elated at the fact that Annastacia took the time to stop for a chat and even a photo!

With the choir limited for space and numbers, they still belted out two staples; Katy Perry's 'Roar' and the iconic 1985 hit 'We Are The World' originally performed by the United Support of Artists (USA) for Africa.
