|Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) has a suite of programs to assist disadvantaged Queenslanders gain current skills. The four programs we now deliver include:
Community Work Skills, which offers tailored assistance to gain nationally recognised skills and qualifications up to a certificate III level. If you have previously completed a qualification this may be your second chance!
Get Set for Work provides intensive employment and training assistance to young Queenslanders aged 15-19 years. It operates three days per week and progresses into a training qualification and employment assistance.
Xtreme Turnabout (Youth Skills) provides a dynamic approach to support 15-19 year olds subject to court orders or bail to gain a nationally recognised qualification. Training that can be completed under SQW is Hospitality, Retail, Business, Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Disability, Horticulture & Construction.
WorkSmart (Ready for Work) assists young people aged 15-24 to transition into the workforce by providing practical skills needed to successfully find work.
Fees including training co-contribution are paid by the SQW program funding. The SQW project is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government.
